Read the letter carefully – it will be important for every voter in April

All voters should receive the poll card by February 20.

National Election Office (NVI) announced on Wednesday that it had sent the documents to eligible voters based on the register as of February 4.

The NVI can send a poll card to voters through two channels: traditional mail or, for those with an electronic storage account, in digital form. The mailing will continue until February 20, and everyone should receive the poll card by then.

In addition to the voter’s personal data, the document contains all the basic information required to vote. It includes the exact address and polling station number where the voter can cast their ballot, as well as the election date. The NVI has also provided notices with QR codes, making electronic administration easier.

The document outlines which forms of identification can be used at the polling station, details the procedures for submitting various election requests, and lists the most important deadlines. If someone does not receive the poll card by the specified date or if it is destroyed for any reason, they can request a new copy from the local election office.

It is not mandatory to present the poll card to vote.

From Thursday, February 5, various requests related to the April 12 vote can be submitted to the election offices. Those who do not wish to vote at their local polling station may request a transfer to vote at a foreign representation or a mobile ballot box. These requests must be submitted to the election office responsible for the place of residence.

Other requests may also be submitted on an ongoing basis: requests related to the voter register of nationality, requests for accessible polling stations, and requests for Braille ballots. It is also possible to indicate whether someone does not want their personal data used for campaign purposes. There are three ways to submit applications: in person, through an authorized representative, or online via the National Election Office website.
